Any news worthy story. Good things to watch at the Cinema, Theatre, on TV or have you read a good book lately?

Is it wrong that this is exactly how I picture our members?
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
6x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (14.4kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

Dan with the glasses taking the photo and Simon Says on the left of the shot as we view it ? based on deductions that Dan took the photo,

In reply to Stinsy's comment - not at all wrong that you picture the members of the forum to be confident, erudite, chiselled, individuals, good job I am not there otherwise I would have dragged the descriptors down by dint of my knuckle dragging appearance and demeanour

Correct there.
How did you know?

Interesting and worthwhile day out. My biggest takeaway was that Kraken now 'controls' over 500,000 EV chargers and heatpumps (I think worldwide, not UK) and that gives enormous flexibility to support grids lower net cost.

Great to meet fellow forum members!

The event was brilliant. My favourites from the agenda:

Rory Sutherland's amazing keynote. Thought provoking, informative and funny. "Less lithium, more neon!" in reference to addressing range anxiety. He suggests that instead of ever increasing battery capacities, rapid chargers should be lit up like petrol stations and not tucked away on a dimly lit industrial estate.

Hannah Fry. Funny, fast paced, loads of interesting stuff that could be useful for a pub quiz (pigeons trained for two weeks to identify cancer types get the same score as an AI)

Octopus' announcement of the BYD Dolphin including all home charging, £299/month on a lease. It's bidirectional and requires you plug in for X days/month. Quentin Wilson and Damon Hill there to launch it. Damon's daily is a Polestar and his other claim to fame (apart from winning a Formula One World Championship) is that he thinks he got the UK's first EV speeding ticket.

But there was so much other stuff to take away from the agenda.

I'm definitely going back next year, even if it means I need to buy a ticket.
