ENV200s get a lot of love. However, type1/ChaDeMo charging port and 75miles of motorway range in winter severely limits the usefulness.

Can your budget stretch to a Vauxhaull Combo electric?
Could do, I'd set a 9k limit in my mind. This looks a decent unit?

SWMBO said yesterday "how about a cheap EV with tailgate and we just rip the back seats out"? :xl:

She doesn't mess about! :D
That one looks very tidy. The vast majority of used electric vans seem to have been very well looked after.

They did a Zoe commercial!
I agree, the old Connect lasted 7 years. It was Ex Welsh council. Brought home the slabs for the Vanport (sniff) but it is time to at least try for an EV V. I'll have a look at cargobay lengths. Would like a roofrack too. Anything around 150miles range will cover me in most of the Shire for a there & back again. I'll have a look at the Zoe commercial.

I can sell this to myself as being the pension money I had mentally allocated for the ashp & 3g at the very start. At a rough estimate I am still 22 grand ahead of where I could have been if I'd dumbly went with what was being offered

Bought a debranded new 1.5ltr 900W air fryer for the van (£22 ebay). It is excellent and does not trouble the 1kW inverter at all. Gets up to temperature very fast due to the small volume.

Simply put, the world of van pakora and breadcrumbed chicken strips is now open to us.

Well, I showed SWMBO a Vauxhall Combo SWB electric van and she is a strong yes for that marque.

Collecting one in Grimsby on Wednesday afternoon. Will overnight in Edinburgh. It really does look like an awful lot of van for not a huge amount of money. :D

50kWh pack and 150 to 175 miles range. Van of Enormous Power Mk5. :)

Vauxhaul Combo really does hit the sweetspot on a whole load of metrics! It has a proper-size battery giving decent range and is availible pretty cheaply on the used market. I know a guy who works for BT who has one for work. He loves it and does huge miles in it. Although with his ladders on the roof and loaded down with all his gear, he has to stop every 100 miles on long runs...
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
6x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (14.4kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

Thanks Stinsy, it looks like the right van for us. Had no idea they existed until you pointed them out. Should be able to get home on 2 charges as they're maxxing the battery for me. The old Connect had to skirt sections of the city for the ULEZ. This one should be good for a while. :D

Good luck with the new van, had a go last week of a similar sized one at work was indeed fun, brakes work too well!

Thank you AGT, as long as I can blast classic fm in it and retro fit a roofrack we should be good for 10 years clean driving home PV charged. :xl:

That is a very nice thought indeed. :D
