Appfrontpage/usage/view meter readings/export meter. Likely you guys know about it.

That's handy Joeboy... Thanks.

I think I've seen it in the past but forgot about it.

Anyone tempted to leave octopus and jump ship to eon and their next drive tariff?

7 hour off peak @ 6.7p
export @ 16.5p
Those are very interesting prices! Clearly designed to be a slightly better offer than the cephalopod. However IOG is just too easy to game. I'd spend more even with the lower prices. Maybe folk with a bigger battery...

Almost switched a month or so ago.
Almost.

What put me right off is that they apparently pay out for the export yearly, not monthly.
Octopus have this the right way round.
Import is set against export monthly so no one is getting gamed.

My money can stay in the bank making me interest, and they arent making interest on my money either.
Very cheeky that.

Yeah.... Losing those extra "gamed" slots wouldn't be ideal.

Eon for some reason have made their site as "user friendly" as possible by making it completely opaque in regards to actual information.
They have not got a clear set of T&C's on their site for each of their tariffs which i was finding extremely frustrating so went looking and stumbled across that little gem buried down the very bottom of one of their pages.
In a hunt for the T&C's i went through the sign up process to as far as a dared, i.e. giving them a perferred transfer date, and not clicking "switch me".
At that point I still hadnt been furnished with them.
Something very off about that.

Octopus in comparison have their T&Cs easily accessible, you dont have to hunt.
As it should be.

I wouldn't switch as it's too nicely integrated and user friendly (import/export/ OC, IO. I am awaiting some form of test to Zonal pricing. Power ups is I think a first simple test pass at that.

Any other companies jumping onboard big or small to imitate Octopus moves are unlikely to quite match the streamlined integratedness of the Big O or have the self drive to innovate.

By remaining an Octopus customer, in some tiny way I lend support to that innovation.

I moved from EON to octopus not so long back and based on my experience of EON customer care and general service I wouldn't be rushing back to them, irrespective of any deal they are offering to tempt folk across. I would anticipate that if EON pricing becomes a tangible drain on Octopus' customer base then the cephalopod will address its comparable offering to make it more attractive and retain customers.

Absolutely is, just that on this occasion I am not going to be suckered in to moving, to what I consider to be a shower, for an apparent better rate, once bitten and all that.
