Indian Summer September

Post by nowty »

Nowty Towers is looking at maybe the best solar PV week of the year coming up.

Very rare to see that forecast in the UK and a mini heatwave too, maybe will use the aircon this week.

I struggled through last week but home and EV batteries are a whisker off full from todays sun. 8-)

19.6kW PV > 117MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 34MWh generated

GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 530 m3

For me, July was shocking (23% below baseline) and August (13% below baseline) was balanced with the better June (14% above baseline).

A nice September would be welcome as solar generation starts getting a bit marginal as we cross the equinox.

My results for those months shows:
June 16.6% above average
July 0.7% " "
August 8.3% " "
Averages are over previous 12 years for 3.87kW system.

September has got off to a good start with 142kWh so far from both systems.

But like Nowty has said it's downhill from here
3.87kWp PV
10.24kWp PV SolarEdge system
Tesla Powerwall 2
MK2 PV router DHW diverter
Morso 5kW WBS
Vaillant AroTherm 10kW ASHP
Nissan Leaf
