I am not with octopus and unlikely to get an electric car, as I am on FIT payments I cannot get paid for export either, so the idea of selling some charging appeals slightly.

You can opt out of the 50% assumed export and go onto a higher rate SEG if you want.

Does that not lose the all the FIT payment?

Couldn't resist an open box Victron Multiplus from bimblesolar, been over and picked it up this afternoon. It's quite a monster

Pretty sure this thing could run my entire house off-grid quite happily, 8000W output sustained! I wanted one that could eventually run a 7.2kW car charger off batteries without breaking a sweat and the 8K model wouldn't quite cut it.

More fun times ahead installing this in a weekend soon
