I like the look of this.
That's a big boy battery though!

I wonder what our man on Raasay would make of it?
I guess being in a harbour it can run back to its charging station if it gets low on juice and let another one take over.

Short journeys in a harbour is probably an ideal place for an electric boat but do sometimes wonder what the future is for ocean going shipping.

I once worked on a ship that had a fuel tank that held 16 000 m3 (of regular diesel). That's the equivalent of quite a big battery! I guess that's why there are a couple of ammonia fueled boats being trialed in Norway.

At one point nuclear powered ships where the “next big thing”, but apart from one single cargo vessel and a few icebreakers, nothing ever came of it. I think the maintenance outstripped the fuel savings.

6x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (14.4kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

Nuclear powered vessels are pretty big in several navies - US, China, Russia and the UK all have nuclear warships/subamarines/aircraft carriers...
And then Russia has some floating nuclear power stations...
