Do you fancy a re jig of your oldest panels Nowty?

It seems that you can now faff with FiT installs without informing them so long as you keep the power the same. Surely that it your lowest-hanging fruit for additional capacity?
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
6x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (14.4kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

I already have done that on the second FIT install as I added an extra 1.2kW by replacing the panels on the shed roof and I took off 1.2kW by moving the front porch panels to a non FIT inverter.

The oldest on the first FIT install could be done but requires scaffolding and some help. The new panel sizes are also quite awkward to fit on the existing rails.

The main reason for the upgrade a couple of days ago was to remove a voltage mismatch on one of the Victron charge controllers which was losing me daily yield.

I actually removed 4 x 325W Panasonic panels and replaced with just 2 x 450W DMEGC panels, so that was a net 400W loss of panels but the better voltage matching has increased the yield after yesterdays run in even hotter conditions.

Today a 23m reel of SWA was delivered to me, methinks there is a reuse case for the removed 325W panels.

Whilst SWMBO is away the renewable shenanigans continue. ;)
