What’s the weight of each unit Joe ? Must be 120Kg at least.
Don’t envy the fitters - I fitted (with help) a 60Kg reinforced glass for a Juliette balcony at home - that was fun and at least it was a regular shape.

Sure it’ll go well.
Last estimate I heard was 160kgs. It is built from 3 sheets of 6mm glass to reduce flex due to its size.

If it was me I'd be using a mechanical lift up onto level boards with the cill as the top will be hard to control. It's not going to be easy and one of the windows has a triple radiator in front of it. I reckon 5 of us will manage.
This is how it should be for install.

One for any new HP owners to watch out for. Due to the high insulation of the home causing low running of the high efficiency rad side along with high HW demands at lower efficiency the COP climb has stalled on our system! Peaked at 3.82 and will now fall throughout Summer.
Looks like we fitted a duffer!
5 months in and these are the figures.
The other monitoring system back to just after we had reliability with the AAV fitted.
HC is now set to 0.15

Checked with installers this morning and the second trapezoidal glazing unit that should have shown up on Monday is nowhere to be seen. I am now mentally bedding in for a full 12 week wait before the second unit shows up and i allow installation (part 3) to commence..
It was being 'fast tracked' via a company in Ireland. What could possibly go wrong by shifting the manufacturing one island over?
It's odd how all the grand designs shows highlight the enormous (potential) hassle and lead times with glazing. Yet even knowing this going in, living through it is a whole new level of pita to me. If i've learned anything it's that rectangular wins.

We are fans of Grand Designs in this house! And the glazing always features prominently. Sorry Joe, but I'm the one shouting at the telly: "Why did they need a silly shaped window in the first place? Two smaller panes would've been way cheaper!"

, yes indeedy! Even stranger, it was one of the installers (the one having the nightmares) that suggested we go full size one piece for the trapezoidal spaces. Oh the regrets he must be having...
Too late now laddie, crack on!
BTW, building off grid from the US is worth a look too. Some stunning locations.
