I thought we were all done for the year! Nothing showing in the app yet. No idea what my baseline might be. Obviously the last 4 days won’t count, there have been a few grey days before that where I have possibly rinsed unintentionally…

Can I ask what's the best way to approach this for maximum gain?

First saving session since batteries installed.

Just export as much as possible during the hour?

1) You need to have done all your MCS and DNO paperwork and be on an Octopus export tariff.

2) You should have anticipated the SS and on preceding days that are not: weekends, bank holidays, or DFS days (irrelevant of Octopus’ participation), gamed some additional IOG cheapslots and used as much power as possible (change your battery/EV, heat DHW, cook, etc.) during the 5-7pm likely SS slot, to increase your “baseline”.

3) Sign up for the SS.

4) Ensure your battery is charged, everything is turned off, and export as fast as you can.

5) Think about what you’ll spend the 30p on and rue the fact that it would’ve been £10 in previous years.

I suspect the time is 5pm to 6pm GMT, so 6pm to 7pm BST.

We've never had one in BST times before, I'll have to look up the ref docs again.

Its also 6pm to 7pm here on the South Coast.
