Remember air con is useful for evacuating moisture, ie windows open a crack blast & go, it's how I do it in the smarts.
Before you hit the buy on an unknown, i'd take a gander at the 451 series 4? Smart ED low mileage is definitely available & top speed that means motorway usage is possible.
Same size boot & behind seat storage allowed us to load up pretty well at the wholesalers too Jenga stacking & when shopping enough bootspace for a weeks shop.
Are you able to test drive the golf cart? ...can see a lot of steamy window potential like the AMi suffers (badly from)
Not sure I would be happy on a motorway in one of these...
(In it) just stick to journeys impossible/impracticable by public transport!
A
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh Givenergy batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!

+1 for the aircon.
As an example, for some reason I accidently left the windows on vent (slightly open) on my Tesla App yesterday. Today after about 12 hours of rain, I found one side had let in quite a bit of rain. I mopped up as much as I could but the carpets were still very wet. I started up the aircon, and left it on for a couple of hours. Now dry as a bone, even when its still drizzling outside.
18.7kW PV > 111MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 34MWh generated
7 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
90kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 530 m3

No AE, I was referring to the 451 ED top speed of 78mph

It's the wifes Tesla 3 (she lets me wash it)
Leaf 24
Celotex type insulation stuffed most places
Skip diver to the gentry
Austroflamm WBS
A finger of solar + shed full more
Got excited there for a minute, not considered an electric Smart - or Smart EQ - but just looked and cheapest I could find was a 2 year old ForFour - CAT S - for a tad under £10k. Anything else, i.e. a ForTwo was much older for the same money. £7k more gets me a 2 year old MG5 with a 61kWh battery and supposed 250 mile range and balance of 7 year warranty.
Look on the wiki link for the 451 electric differences.. then you see the difference(s)
They do turn up & you can get a deal if you look around long enough.
Evilution website for some detail on all things smart car.
Fiat 500 E & the early smart electrics are still "linked" by the motor, if you care to read up.

Don’t worry it won’t be allowed on the motorway. It’ll be homologated as a quad bike…
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
6x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (14.4kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger
(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)
15kW PV SE, VI, HM, EN
42kWh LFPO4 storage
73kWh V2H EV
7kW ASHP
200ltr HWT.
3G
Deep insulation, air leak ct'd home
WBSx2
Low energy bulbs
Veg patches & fruit
On further reading, the admittedly eye-catching aptera claims a mere 10 miles per kWh compared to the Squads 12 miles per kWh in Northeren climes. Just goes to show that its hard to beat solar panel actual area.
That leads me onto thin film application to flat surfaces, mppt controller, 4 batteries, a couple of roll out flexible solar mats and could it get me to Turkey?

A flying carpet? Very appropriate for the area...
