It's wrong Ken, it's 3.6kW. A reporter typo that hasn't been caught I think.
Cheers, glad you are enjoying it, our RE journey started about 30 years ago with loft insulation and door seal kits on earlier properties. Really took off in the last 5 to 7 years though. It began as a 'good idea' then progressed to hobby and we are now at full on 'lifestyle'.cojmh wrote: ↑Sun Apr 10, 2022 11:52 pm Just read this thread from start to finish this evening (instead of watching a film) .... have to say I think I enjoyed reading this more!
It has given me quite a few ideas for the future. I am intrigued to know when you started your RE journey and how long it has taken you to get to this point .... (apologies if you have stated it somewhere else - but I could not find it)
I think the BEV is still a few years away for us .... but something to aim for!
Just checked mine out as the Tesla App gives similar info.Joeboy wrote: ↑Sun Jun 12, 2022 10:08 pm Done 1,050 miles in the I5 over the last month. Only 70kWh of that was bought from grid at 5.5p pwr kWh, the rest came from the home PV.
£3.85 fuel cost....
2.727 miles per penny.
If fuel is £1.90 per ltr that's £8.64 per gallon of diesel, that's 2,356 miles I can do at the same exchange rate for PV&off peak power purchase performance.
2,356 miles per gallon diesel cost....![]()
In saying all this, I forgot to switch off the EV charger last night so flattened the stack through the night and bought 2kWh from the grid this morning!nowty wrote: ↑Sun Jun 12, 2022 11:04 pmJust checked mine out as the Tesla App gives similar info.Joeboy wrote: ↑Sun Jun 12, 2022 10:08 pm Done 1,050 miles in the I5 over the last month. Last 31 days 289 kWh, I assume to be around 1156 miles.
19 kWh was bought via Gridserve (only required because I did not shut the car down at Gatwick correctly) = £8.22
15 kWh was bought at home on cheapslot for £1.13
The rest 255 kWh was from home PV.
£9.35 fuel cost ......
1.236p miles per pence
Using your £8.64 per gallon of diesel, only 1,068 miles per gallonbut would have been 8,839 miles per gallon if I had shut down the TM3 properly at the airport.
Of course its all green crap, like the ripple wind turbine.![]()
