Been wearing their knock off Crocs every day since ‘retiring’ (9 years). Trouble is, my feet don’t like proper shoes anymore.

Pair usually lasts 12 months.

I have three or four pairs for various jobs and a best pair for going out in, my eldest lad 25 wears them and my youngest two (4 and 2) both have a couple of pairs on the go and prefer them to other footwear.

I see you have the same general weather as we do JB, sunny with large fluffy clouds and perishingly cold out of the sun.

knocking out about 2.6kWp at the minute so all the heaters are on warming up the house which started the day at 16.3 (no heating through the night and down 3 degrees from when we went to bed last night at 9:30ish) lounge now back at 18.1 and rising nicely

Brilliant footwear, swmbo brought these one's home. First spotted offshore in the Dutch sector about 25 yrs ago. HAD to wear them on some of the bigger vessels in the Black and also Caspian seas as they had have shared ablution facilities and there were some dodgy cleanliness issues going on. Waterproof footwear was an absolute bonus!

Whilst working in Angola one of the offshore guys told me he was on this platform and got out of bed to find a few inches of water covering the floor. Seems that some problems had caused the toilets to back up and overflow, think he slept with his wellies on after that.

Been there, done that, i liked Angola, great beaches.. There was one vessel I worked on off of Baku. Shared toilets, washbasins and showers. The smell was that bad that it would trigger my retch reaction going in to wash my face and brush me teeth in the morning. Same vessel I lived on 15p Chinese noodlepacks for a month. Ah the exotic lifestyle! :)
