Colmar is the place, I stayed there last year on my way down to daughter’s just because it was convenient for the motorway and a Tesla Supercharger. I did not even go into town.
Last night SWMBO persuaded me to drive into the centre and I pleasantly surprised how nice it was.
Today was only a single charge at our destination in Lugano.
At daughters for grandson 2 and 3 1st birthday, an easy date to remember because of the Summer Solstice.

Today had one more EV charge and a relatively short hop to Trento were it was still uncomfortably hot. We had a surprise free music festival, heavy rock style and all in English with classics such as “I wanna be your dog” and “suffragette city”.

In Austria now, we did a long relatively slow drive through one of the valleys. Absolutely beautiful and I can see why chris_n lives out here although I think he’s over a mountain range further north.
I was the only customer at a 12 stall Tesla supercharger in Spittal an der Drau where we did a long charge from 10% to 90%.
Currently floating in mid lake on a free pedal boat from the hotel in Millstatt am See.

A well stocked fridge with all sorts of cold drinks, you just help yourself and write your room number in the log. Somehow I don’t think that would work in the UK.
3 Euros for 0.5 litre bottle.

It really isn't (depending where you are) the motorway through the Inn valley has a permanent 100kmh speed limit for everything except electric vehicles in an effort to keep emissions down. When I am in the mountains in winter the pollution is often visible in the valley against the white snow. The majority of this pollution is caused by the sheer volume of freight traffic coming out of Italy into Germany and beyond.
Living the dream in Austria.
Uk property 3.75kW PV linked to 3kW inverter.
