Has a setting been changed for notifications as I'm not getting them then I will get a big batch in one go?

Is no one else having problems with this?I've just received about 30 notifications after not receiving any for a while.

I have them turned off, have had for some time, because I also saw the same sort of behaviour, they would arrive in batches. I think it may just be a glitch in the way the forum software works, perhaps?
