Used to get this even with 316 s/s. In those cases it wasn't the material grade, it was contaminants in the air clinging to the s/s then oxidation kicking in on those ferrous particles. Maybe something similar here? Or Elons been buy his s/s off the back of a truck?

It must take enormous self control to sell that thing and keep a straight face :hysteria: Cheapo kitchen sinks dont corrode at the slightest brush with an insect! Musk must have purchased a dodgy batch from Arthur Daley :facepalm:

The working theory seems to be that it's iron dust from transporting by rail. Maybe they should have painted it!

They don't seem to have tested this truck at all, despite the extra-long gestation. Any new process / material like this should be thoroughly checked
