Well, I bet it is all that many city drivers need (if they need a vehicle at all,) and infinitely preferable to a Chelsea Tractor, even a BEV version of one.

Couldn't watch it the guy is a vapid tool renta-presenter.
Very expensive golf cart though.
Any power steering? I ask this due to older folks muscle wastage, wear & tear to joints etc that can make non pow assist painful (even in a smart car)

Ideal time to not reinvent the wheel & simply bring back a subtly altered Smart 450 / 451 electric drive as a basic, with heaters, micro, high but small city vehicle rather than another golf cart, still got a small footprint, tight turning circle, ev possibilities, suspension, wipers the kit you'd hope to see in a small micro car that could get you to the next city over & charge reasonably quickly (tweaked)

I wonder, with the exception of Jonny Smith how many of the renta-presenters have ever seen let alone driven a smart 450 /451 EV to understand the connection, I get the feeling that they just see it as another rung on the ladder in their presenting career, don't get the impression that many / any of them give a toss about EV's ..that is what seems to come across, zero enthusiasm for the subject, all aiming at "the one show" maybe?

Certainly did. 8-) Although I passed on the aircon option. :D

There's a lot there to like, worth supporting. It'll be fun too. Immediately thinking of thin film additions to up the speed of charge.

Remember air con is useful for evacuating moisture, ie windows open a crack blast & go, it's how I do it in the smarts.

Before you hit the buy on an unknown, i'd take a gander at the 451 series 4? Smart ED low mileage is definitely available & top speed that means motorway usage is possible.

Same size boot & behind seat storage allowed us to load up pretty well at the wholesalers too ;) Jenga stacking & when shopping enough bootspace for a weeks shop.

Are you able to test drive the golf cart? ...can see a lot of steamy window potential like the AMi suffers (badly from)
