Thanks Joe
Must admit there has been many hours spent watching YouTube & seeing what others have done to hopefully come up with the optimal solution for what we want
Thanks Joe
Simple & efficient, nice!
I'm all for aluminium relifed in any form. Such a versatile easy to work metal but a huge production cost in energy. It's looking good!richbee wrote: โSat Jun 21, 2025 9:34 am
Sure you'll be pleased to know that I've found a use for old solar panel rails - as the middle bed support.
My parents had their roof replaced, and solar panels, so there was a pile of old rails left and I helped my dad to dispose of them.
A raspberry cage for him, and a camper bed support for me (plus a few left over for a potential future solar project)
That slide-out cargo tray is very neat, what a good idea.richbee wrote: โSat Jun 21, 2025 9:34 am

Yes it is, worth asking them why on the neg side? At its most obvious I'd want the the positive side to let go if somewhere in the circuit I had a fault to earth. All the best with the build. I am finishing off packing out the corners for the France trip, nearly there!richbee wrote: โTue Jun 24, 2025 12:27 pm
I'm trying to assemble my fogstar 315Ah battery today, as it's raining.
Not as easy as I hoped - I think they've sent me a mix of old and new components. The official assembly video shows a different end cap with terminals and vertical fuse mounting. Seems odd to me that the fuse is on the - ve side, and mounted on red terminals, but that is, what the video shows (there is no manual as such, just the video)
Other YouTube videos show the same end cap as mine, but the fuse on the +ve side and connected t the cells via a able instead of the folded busbar from my kit.
I've contacted the help desk, waiting for a reply.....
As a general question, is it not normal to have the fuse on the + side?
