P.S TSLA $871.80....

No worries, £5k makes it a place I will not be. TBH I'm not that interested in V2G unless I can be sold on it as a green social endeavour that I participate in at no cost. V2H though would be magnificent for the excess storage cap. Again though, I had hoped that this would be available through the home car charger. Very strange that this appears to not be the case...What a waste of decentralised strategically placed latent battery capacity across the islands.Adokforme wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 10:04 pm Thanks for posting Joeboy, a rumour about the very same was floating around a year or two back so perhaps there was some truth in it after all!
I don't know why Tesla have concerns about acceptance by consumers of V2G as I'm all for it and chose the Nissan Leaf almost entirely because of this ability. It's been frustrating since not being able to activate it. I applied to be included in two V2G trials but due to having more than 4kWp output from our array the units being trialled were not capable of limiting export to the grid to 10kW. I believe they would need to be G99 or G100 compliant in order for us to take part which at the time they were not. Don't know if anything has changed since. But if they are set on charging £5k for the package then I suspect there will be little demand, even if they are compliant.
On reading the detailed specs, it is only available with a CHAdeMO connector.Joeboy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 4:39 am
Off my soapbox, this looks promising..

I've sent a mail to manufacturer and I'll cut n paste the reply.Interested to hear if they have plans. As you say John. A long way to go including from Tesla. Oh no, the first crack in ownership 5 months before I get the car! Its such an.obvious implementation of the tech. Must be powerwall less sales/3 etc degradation risk and no actual financial profit to Tesla driving the apathy?John_S wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 7:55 amOn reading the detailed specs, it is only available with a CHAdeMO connector.Joeboy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 4:39 am

CCS connectors still have a lot of catching up to do.

That's good to know, thanks Nowty. What do you get with the car for charging? The leaf came with a 3 pin granny and a 7kW cable for out and about.nowty wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 12:01 am For Joeboy, my TM3 has just had a software upgrade and you can now control the charging rate using the Tesla APP on your phone so you can use a cheap and dumb charger and still have easy control over your charging. This new function also applies to the TMY too.
I received a mail this morning from we buy any car saying the price had went up again, dunno what to. Hopefully we can get a Tesla requote around Jan 22 and be in the 60 day window as the lad at Tesla Abz advised.
