Left Edinburgh fully charged with an indicated range of 135 miles. Distance to home is 142 miles.

Got home with 12 miles range left. So,154 mile range. Only discovered the eco setting after 90 miles so might hit a real 160 miles range?

I did see an indicated 163 range at one point but that was on a biased road section. I'd say 155 miles is accurate. I'll check tyre pressures and see how much of the 170 mile new pack range we can get back after 47,000 miles run.

Are you tempted to get a set of alloys on thwere to save a bit on the unsprung mass?

I love that, what a way to sell an idea! Make it slightly sounding technical and i'll bite. :D

Collected our first items today in van, paid cash.

I did give some idle thought on the drive up the road to how far on (effective) tyres for EV car/van are if at all for adding range via lower rolling resistance?

"save a bit on the unsprung mass" Love that!
A nice set of Wolfrace alloys would look great!

P.S I like this more that the I5. A lesson in reductionism.

Unsprung mass has big effect on efficiency and therefore range.

I have an iD4 with 300 miles of range and 175kW charging. It cost £50k. I also have an eGolf with 150miles of range and 40kW charging. It cost £9k. Can you guess which one I like more?

Funny that isn't it? If we are lucky, we know the natural balance 👉 . This particular unit cost us £10k. As the kids are up and away it makes sense to me. I've always liked a van.

Off to France a week on Sunday in our last FF eater. I'll.be as light of tread as I can.

In other news the 20yo 2-stroke strimmer has been retired in favour of a battery one.

TBH the new one is WAY more strimmer than I need for our small garden and is amazing to use:

Battery power tools are brilliant, takes so much strain.off the user plus no fumes or noise in your case. After buying a battery lawnmower the other year I couldn't go back. :xl:
