I really like this approach!
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
6x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (14.4kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

They also make the point about the sheer number of electric buses that will be needed. Hence the value of converting vehicles which were designed to be long-lived anyway.
It reflects the points made about the Australian HGV conversions by Janus: there are just too many trucks to rely on end-of-life replacements.
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh Givenergy batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!

Absolutely right - it's also that thing of if the bus chassis already exists and is in good condition, then it's better to keep it on the road from a total carbon point of view as well as local emissions air quality.
