Tesla has now opened the 4th V4 Supercharger site in Europe.

1st one -16 stalls in Harderwijk and is open access
- Netherlands https://www.electrive.com/2023/03/16/te ... therlands/

2nd one - 12 stalls in Clermont-Ferrand, France and has a solar PV canopy

3rd one - 8 stalls in Chasse sur Rhône, France.

4th one - 8 stalls in Graz, Austria, which also features the new built-in LCD screen and RFID card-reader for contactless payment for non-Teslas

They seem to currently be attached to the same power control equipment as V3s, ie 250kW per stall, but according to the details in a UK planning application for 36 new V4 chargers to be installed near Swindon, they will be capable of 350kW

First V4 Supercharger station to open in the UK - in Tottenham - and the first to offer contactless payment with a bank card using the built in display.
Doesn't say how many stalls though.

Not V4 (well it doesn't indicate who to be honest) but to keep up with Dan's good news stories for chargers, I just spotted the following for anyone over Skipton way:

A government planning inspector has granted permission for a new petrol station off the A65/A59 roundabout in Skipton — overturning a decision by the former Craven District Council to refuse it last year.

The petrol station will be built on Gargrave Road, opposite Keelham Farm Shop, and will also include a shop, car wash, EV charging points and a new mini roundabout.

I’m presuming these V4 chargers are capable as a stand-alone - not a shared 250kW if someone charges on your ‘pair’?

What I cannot understand is how Tesla manage to sell energy at such reasonable rates - not the 75p (and above) costs per kWh on some installations. Unless the others improve, Tesla will trounce the opposition with a huge market share.

I’ve not charged on a Tesla charger as yet. But if I am planning s long trip, I will try to charge at them, if possible. Roll on more chargers being opened up to non-Teslas.

Indeed - V4 stalls get the full 250kW per stall (as with V3) so no power sharing
