Wowza, what a beaut. From the long face and tufted ears, I assume it's a Maine Coon, or maybe a Norwegian Forest Cat. Not sure my back would be happy picking that one up.

Yep, very real. I think one got to about four feet long once (including tail).

Had a few at the rescue, big, but not giants. But one that stole my heart many years ago that was rescued off the street. He was named Goliath, and I saw him the morning after rescue. He was crying the place down (as is there reputation), and when let out of his pen was incredibly affectionate (also their reputation). He was so, so tall, I was amazed.

Sadly, he was in a terrible state, and weighed only 7kg (most healthy domestic cats are about 5kg, he probbaly should have been about 10-12kg). Sadly I only got the one cuddle, as he never came back from the vets that day. He really was in a terrible state, and abandoned on the streets when the breeder no longer needed him. RSPCA took up a prosecution after we informed them of the details.

As we no longer have our two cats who lived very active lives at Nowty Towers we like the visiting cats we regularly get.

This one we call pretty cat and visited us (virtually) through our doorbell camera tonight.

She was happily sitting on our driveway.


5 seconds later from Austria I decided to talk to the pussy through the doorbell, “What are you doing pussy ?”

She immediately turned around startled wondering where my voice was coming from.

Got to love technology sometimes, I sometimes watch the cats in the infrared scope when I’m sat waiting for the rats to appear. They seem to be able to sense the infrared light but cannot see it or me on the darkest of nights.

On other news I thought we should introduce Kevin to you, he’s nine weeks in this photo but now ten and a half weeks now, he’s possibly the most sociable cat I’ve ever had and gets on with everyone.
