I’m not understanding the problem this solves!
You can build skyscrapers by bolting small pieces of steel together, why can’t you do that with wind turbines?

What amount of Glue / Toxic chemicals goes into sticking it all together.
Metal. End of life
Use it all again and again.

They suggest the problem they’re trying to solve is transportation of large wind turbine towers onshore - with this system you build the tower in situ?

Does the 2MW turbine, atop this structure, indicate a limitation in generating power with plywood towers?

This is what I'd like to understand too. Steel has huge embodied carbon, but as you say can be used repeatedly.
The wood will be carbon negative potentially, but what impact does the glue and production etc have on that. And then it can't be re used. Not trivial.
