Which antennae did you get Hermit (or did reading comparisons make no odds)?
I'm thinking this is how we'll have to go.
The phone came with its own antennae and sits on the window ledge but regular smart phone won't work in the same position. Far from ideal cos it means two numbers and two contracts with different providers (at least it did for me cos 3 doesn't work when I'm at home and Vodafone is pants around Skye and Raasay generally) The joys of living in the 'sticks'
Mine does (Vodafone) and has done for 10 years at least. I’m sure they all do by now.
Mine did with Vodafone, then I changed to a cheaper tariff (with Vodafone) and lost that function so you don't always get it.
That seems very mean of them! Maybe wifi calling only applies to unlimited minutes tariffs, Vodafone might feel that they’re losing money if all your calls are over wifi on a limited tariff.
Yes I thought so too and it took me several weeks to realise I had lost it until I noticed a lot of drop out on my phone calls. I was without it for two years but its now been reinstated so it might now be standard on all their tariffs. And as I now use my mobile for all my calls I could not be without it anymore.

I'm on 3 with a Samsung S10 and that will use wifi, the only problem is our broadband is useless. We were down for FTTP but Openreach have decided not to but are putting in further down the road but stopping 400m away from us. I offered to put a duct in to get us to 200m away but no, they still won't.
I was wondering the same question as our new house will be foil backed everywhere.
