I really hope this isn't good money being poured into the bad.
Green Hydrogen as a fuel and for heating is insanity. But there are definitely many industrial processes that need decarbonising that could use green H2 in them. I hope this is those and not "hydrogen heat boilers" or something stupid.

Good timing for an article on H2 failing 'the economic test'. Fingers crossed the UK will learn, and not get sucked in like so, so many countries all over the World with failed tests.

Hydrogen is BS.

Fulfills two purposes:
1) Transfers money from taxpayers to FF companies.
2) Perpetuates the fallacy that there is a magical new technology just around the corner so no action is needed.

Oh yes H2 as a fuel is a predatory delaying strategy by the fossil fuel industry, much like CCS.

But there must be a process for replacing the H2 used in chemical processes as being from steam reformation of fossil fuels to "Green" H2.

I don't think there is any credible future in H2 as an energy storage mechanism. Amonia for some applications, maybe. However: wind, solar, and batteries really are the future. Overbuilding those is by far the best use of capital.

Yep, lots of promise for fertiliser and possibly steel production, to reduce CO2(e). Make it on site, just don't try to transport it anywhere, absolute pig.

So Scunthorpe (and Margam) could become steel and fertiliser factories? Sounds good... Both need railways to take away the weight of product, but a pity there is no incoming weight to balance it!
