makes you wonder if there's anything we can actually do at this point or if it's all just Titanic-esque deckchair rearranging :whako: :surrender:

Does feel a bit like that, whether it's actually worth doing our best - with Ukraine, Israel / Gaza, Pakistan, Yemen conflicts ongoing / kicking off, as well as the usual big industry/fossil fuel brigade / government doing their best to act as slowly as possible :(
I'd rather try and stay on the Life of Brian side of things - look on the bright side and do what we can :xx:

There's definitely lots governments can do, but sadly little appetite from the people with the levers around the world, and with the explosion of armchair climate deniers on social media, polarisation of positions, disinfo and damn right ignorance, even if we can do some minor things as simple citizens, It's still a bit depressing watching the talking heads on the news and actions around the world as Richbee mentions, they really need to get their priorities in order!

I will caveat the depressing(ness) of the above, with how the simple economics of RE technologies, jobs they create, and their practical roll out has made a massive positive impact, and at least that's helping us as a global society towards a chance for a liveable climate without too much weather based climate chaos, but whether it'll be enough, and soon enough, I doubt, but I hope I'm wrong!
