Very true, plus I thought the author's BTL comment was very interesting and the image he added:

And China hasn't caught up to the USA in total emissions over time, not even close. Or Europe for that matter.

Given that its emissions are going to be cut much faster than either the USA's or Europe's, it is quite possible it will never catch up.

[Note the size of India, given it's vast population. Thank goodness RE arrived just as they were starting to massively scale up leccy generation.
