DNO form for G99, Help!

#1

Post by dlw »

Hi All,

Need to fill in a G99 and not sure exactly what to fill in, can't seem to do a fast track as my Sunsynk inverter is not on the approved list with it being 5Kw and I will have 2, I am not looking to export but could trickle some so I can use a solar diverter to do the immersion heater.

My DNO is National Grid and the forms they have are not the best.

National Grid
16 250w Trina panels
2 Sunsynk 5.5kw ecco
3 x Chinese 125Ah (19Kwh total) batteries
6 x 535w installed, 6 to replacing the 16 250w and another 4 to somewhere :D
3 more 125Ah batteries on their way from China

Will help as much as I can having done it a while ago

I paid under £22 for a pdf for my house on my street think I then coloured the perimeter in, in red pen this was from UK map centre found online

As an electrician and the homeowner I didn’t need to provide a letter of authority to Scottish Power

You need a schematic, I didn’t mine in windows, just drew lots of rectangles linking them together and labelling them, the bit they are looking for is the drawing inside the inverter showing its G99 looks like a relay coil and switch , SP sent me this as an example.

See attached photos.

I found this while I was doing my G98 DIY

https://solarenergyconcepts.co.uk/pract ... 98-to-g99/

I really should do a G99 now I have upgraded the inverter!

I have already done the drawing Image

But the actual forms are not what I was expecting

This is the Nat grid website for G99 https://connections.nationalgrid.co.uk/ ... ation-g99/

EDIT: Just realised I added the national grid url in my first post, which form do you think I should fill in?

Yeah I was surprised, maybe because I put the installation date as tomorrow even though I've been doing it on and off all week.

But I have a problem, went to power up the inverters and the one I had delivered a few days ago is DOA, turn on the incoming power and it trips the RCBO instantly, swapped locations with my other inverter in the fuse board to confirn it wasn't a faulty RCBO and it did the same thing :head-bang:

Now I have to wait for Bimble to get in touch with me, I sent an email to support and an hour later (out of hours) I received my invoice :?
