Yes, you should be able to run a second hybrid without the DC input, an AC will work fine as suggested but the charge/discharge of the AC unit will be reduced to 3kW/3kW compared to the hybrid 3.3kW/3.6KW.
Thanks 94JDH
I will raise that with my installer tomorrow.
He was saying I would have to have the new battery/batteries on a separate system, with your suggestion can I keep the batteries on the same system?
Maybe it has to be a separate system as it has no DC input.
I’ll see what he comes up with and prices and go from there.
My system has PV ( DC inputs) on both inverters but that shouldn't make a difference ( it works when DC isn't connected).
It is commissioned as a plant system from the portal, two batteries on each inverter (one master, one slave) - the opposite batteries can pick up excess power from the other inverter if those batteries are full as the inverters monitor AC power.
Thanks 94JDH
I’ll let him know how you’ve got it set up, ideally I’d like two 9.5s on each inverter then I can try and beat Nowty in the league.
You’re too far ahead to catch

Nice set up and a lot of kit

Thank you - quite a problematic journey ( initial installer issues) to begin with but eventually with perseverance (and a new installer) hopefully a reliable system.
I've also extended the panel count myself to 37 No. (total 14.97kW) not all of which are optimal but the inverters do still give me capacity to extend further if necessary!
Keep us posted on your development....
I am going to go for the 13.5 kWh AIO as I can export and import at 6 kWh and also at 3.6 kWh on the current inverter when it’s replaced, so the installer says.
I want to export a fair bit, whilst I can at 15p, and also utilise the IOG off peak schedules.

Sounds like a plan then! Just make sure you've got the correct paperwork in place for the installation with the DNO.
There a some good deals at the moment for AIO, cheapest I've seen around low 6K.
