I get that screen when my TESLA APP has a lower charge limit than the octopus charge limit. Also, around November/December time, they made some kind of changes to the OCTOPUS EV charging section of their app so that octopus charge limit applied itself to the tesla car/app, and it didn't work properly for several days, then they rectified whatever they'd done wrong. Sometimes even if you have the charging limits set correctly, you need to change them to remind Octopus what they are - make them lower then higher again. The general rule is that the charge limit set in your car or your car app should be 10% or more HIGHER than the limit set in the octopus app.

I get the unexpected charging start a couple of times a week - I think when octopus needs to dump surplus electricity! I usually set my charge rate to 1A when I'm not intending to use it - so that they don't dump much into my tesla when I'm not expecting it, but occasionally the charge rate jumps to maximum for no obvious reason

And here, only noticed it after Yuff posted.

I think we have had this before in Dec one time, so I'm not panicking yet, hopefully it will catch up. :xx:

My Givenergy inverter and battery are almost uncontrollable at the moment, doing random things (like locking on to 100% import at the end of a scheduled charge period, or coming off a forced charge to 70% and then sending any solar income to the grid.)

I wondered whether either or both of GivEnenrgy and Octopus have suffered from some sort of attack which is scrambling or corrupting the normal commands going out to people's remote systems?

Our GivEnergy batteries are working normally.
Everything is normal except no off peak rates outside the set hours.
Octopus controlling our charging as normal.
This also happened after a savings session last time and when there is a session octopus servers look like they experience high depend as everything slows down……

Just looked at the facebook group and others are also reporting the same issue since Wed. Almost certainly a temporary issue or else there is going to be a hell of a lot of complaints.

Normally the website shows the previous day without additional cheapslots then updates a day later. Currently I’m showing Wed and Thurs without additional slots and nothing for Friday.

Clearly there is a problem. I’m confident Octopus will fix it. People often get their knickers in a twist whenever there is a small delay but it is always sorted in short order.

The chart is still not updated with the additional cheap slots and now the app is being funny.

It generates the charging schedule and sends the notification but the app says the car isn’t plugged in and doesn’t show the schedule:
