Sunny Roo 'parallel setup'

Im playing with some Sunny Roo inverters (very cheap on ebay at the moment). Trying to decipher what it says on p16 of the SR5000TL manual, it appears to say that if you fit one large string, you should use two short cables (with MC4 plugs on each end) to bridge between the second pair of string 1 inputs and string 2 inputs....effectively connecting the same PV string to both mpp trackers. Never come across this previously. There is a cryptic clue 'enter settings mode and setup parallel'(Please refer application note)' - but there is nothing in the manual that seems to cover this! Does anyone know where I can find the appropriate information. I'm guessing maybe long-press one of the buttons to enter an installer menu and there's something in there that does it.
