Just need a check with the forum please,
1 off theses
https://dam.cityplumbing.co.uk/private/ ... ECH_00.pdf and 12 off these
https://dam.cityplumbing.co.uk/private/ ... SHH_00.pdf
will work ok together, thinking two strings of six panels to keep the Vdc in the middle of the inverter range.
Its for a mate at work who will be doing the install with his electrician - batteries to be added later as hes doing up an old house to live in
Recommendations for alternate inverters always welcomed but please consider that hes on a fairly tight budget

I would check the battery situation ref what the Solax is compatible to, DC V output range is 80 to 480 so typical lithium batteries look not to be suitable.

Thanks Kommando, I’m glad I thought to check here on the forum and more so that you spotted that detail as I hadn’t.
I will point my mate at work towards an alternate option like the goodwe or similar. I’m loathed to suggest my inverter type - Solis - simply because the HMI is so god awful.
Thanks again - l can’t believe I missed something so fundamental.

Agreed, if you want something that gives useful configurability without some sort of add-on, don't bother with a Solis.
What sort of budget is he on?

I am not in the market as I use a Sunny Island but if I was I would consider a Sunsynk Hybrid which does normal voltages eg 40 to 60V for Lithium and is G99 certified.

He’s got around 1500 for a hybrid inverter around 5kW and hopes to be able to use all the power he produces in the house inc DHW and on the cars, a battery will be part of the set up a bit later unless he gets the bug like us in which case he will probably have batteries by April

I will point him towards sunsynk as well thanks Kommando, he’s down on the south coast so he should net some reasonable insolation.
