I think we discussed this for either Desp or maybe old grey beard on the porch panels ? I recall posting a rubber T profile that could be pinched between panels on one of those threads ?

Easier to look on Google for green house and conservatories as that’s where I found it I think

Found it on Amazon other outlets available and probably cheaper

I found myself going to sleep last night thinking about 3d printed small waterspout gargoyles on an angled channeled pergola or covered walkway type.soar array. That would be cool. 8-)

Think i will see where the water runs through .
Maybe greenhouse style guttering underneath .....

Some progress today -first 3 uprights concreted in. 4 panels fitted. Need to fit adduitional support in gap using sliding rail on wall (just couldn't get correct location for wall bracket on stones). Then clear LHS to RHS to fit remaining supports to the left.
Will probably bodge fit temporary inverter connection to take advantage of extra 800w (every little helps) -may need to fit panel 5 to get above inverter start up voltage of 120v.

Nice one George, this sentence epitomises Solar for Me.

Will take better pic tomorrow -light had gone ............
Just realised i have a spare Mastervolt Soladin in the garage - max dc volatage 155dc -4 panels will match nicely -may hang under panels in a plastic bag- :o

Why not? Just make sure you.upside down.it in the bag and J the cables. Sounds good 👍

The panels are at a great access height.

Great to see that! My fave time of year. If it was easy,...

Defo feel the value in these minimal Winter kW's.

My 2 new 435w panels are generating nicely, however, I think I understand the cost now, they handle shade terribly badly.

I was looking at one panel which is side by side to the other on my pergola, one was in 100% sun and kicking out 240w+ the other had the last column of cells in shade but the rest (90%) were in bright sun and it was developing only 20w of juice.

My previous 295w's were much better at generating power in shady conditions, which is good to know.

Still no sign on my solar guys coming back to me after the initial sparky survey which was 100% fine, all we were waiting on was a quote to stick some armoured cabling from the garage to the garden into some sort of junction box to cater for any garden type PV.

Seems my confidence in this company were ill founded and they are just as bad as the rest.. my shitlist is growing at an alarming rate. I'm now considering biting the bullet and going with, what I would call a sub optimal system (Sunsynk with Growatt batteries), just to get something in before I lose another year.

I've got cash burning a hole in my pocket and nobody wants it. At this rate I might just buy a Triumph Thruxton to play with.

I assume that 6 busbar panels have the capability to control the impact of each shade strip on the overall panels?

Assumption is deadly of course. I thought 6 cells wide so the busbars will be vertical lines when panel is in landscape? That needs to be tested otherwise the whole panel is killed as one cell out of each busbar strip will be shaded. I could be completely off on this.

I have set up some of my panels in L shaped strings instead of strips of 3 to minimise overall shading impact.

Shading is a pain, no doubt.
