SWMBO left the house for work this morning and reminded me that its a very special day today (14th Feb).
I replied,
Yes it is, its the first day of the year that the sun doesn't shade behind the trees.
Don't know how I missed this one!,
With a combination of optimism( slowly shutting down home battery charge window) and IO robbing the battery to fully charge the EV last night, today is our first crack at running home on PV for the year (kind of). A starting soc of 46%, forecast looks OK from this distance.
15kW PV SE, VI, HM, EN
42kWh LFPO4 storage
73kWh V2H EV
7kW ASHP
200ltr HWT.
3G
Deep insulation, air leak ct'd home
WBSx2
Low energy bulbs
Veg patches & fruit

The forecast lied as it's grey and spitting of rain.

Its my turn now.
18.7kW PV > 111MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 34MWh generated
7 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
90kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 530 m3
Luckily I can't see images, soc is at 40% so it's all good.

Our turn will come, and can't really complain as have had 154kWh over the last week.
Ach, call this a real world stress test, 18% soc now. I reckon I'm a fortnight over exuberant.

I made double figures today
Plus it’s mild som it using that much electric to heat the house either
Win win
That's a nice place to be. we were in that double figure space (15) a couple of days back and looking forward to next time!
