P.S around 3kWh pv today, amazing how it can be stretched! Heck, it's not that long ago my background load would have consumed more than that.

That is outstanding! I had 3kWh.
Aye but I'm lucky due to very little shading, think of all the kWh's from your logs.
Iain, I am morbidly aware of the dip I live in and the 'lovely' trees that the birdies flit aboot in! If me n SWMBO ever build our own, the geo is going to matter big time!
I've had 2.5kWh total in the last 4 days!
Feck, nae good!
That's just it I don't think many of us would have thought about the positioning of our houses regarding future RE suitability as when I bought mine, home PV more or less didn't exist or was prohibitively expensive. If building a new house that would be a different matter.
Absolutely, there's a wee bit of me that wishes we were in the bang on location but I am more than happy to do the strategic thinking to compensate for the poor Winter solar. Always enjoyed the challenge! You've done well, lovely location.Fintray wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 7:02 pmThat's just it I don't think many of us would have thought about the positioning of our houses regarding future RE suitability as when I bought mine, home PV more or less didn't exist or was prohibitively expensive. If I were ever to buy another house a big, rectangular, south-facing roof would be a "must have". Unfortunately it wasn't a consideration when we bought this house.Joeboy wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 7:06 pmAbsolutely, there's a wee bit of me that wishes we were in the bang on location but I am more than happy to do the strategic thinking to compensate for the poor Winter solar.
