To help close out the over voltage thing.

I set up one more Hoymiles HMS 800 2T last week. To get it to register via the app I had to pick a location outside the UK for the unit. I chose Rome.

Checked this morning while in Edinburgh and it had an overvoltage alarm. Slapped my own forehead as I was in such a rush I hadn't though to upgrade the grid profile.

Here's where it gets interesting.

Got home, I logged into my installer account on the desktop PC and checked the grid profile, It was set to Italian grid (as that's where I said it was to get past the Elock on the app). I reset the location via desktop installer account and chose G98 UK grid profile. No problem at all.

Worth remembering, I've now set all 3 units here for G98 and the Turkish unit doesn't seem to be a problem as its not went red and is just auto running with no app access as that unit does not have onboard WIFI and im not paying for another DTU W etc..
Sounds good Joe - just to remind me - did you have to get an installer account by registering your HMS unit(s) while you were abroad? or getting someone else to register for you?
I'd be happy to get one of those dongles if I can also get an installer account registered

I registered while overseas but if you bought from GMBH Germany they will set up and installer account for you?

Edit- Worst case I can set one up for when we're in Europe? We'll be in France but I could likely duke across into Belgium on the last couple of days and set up accounts?

Thanks Joe - I'll check if the place I bought it from can help - they might be reluctant as it was 18 months ago

If not I'll give it a go. I'd need you to pm me the details you'd want to use. I'd set it up with a simple password. PM you that back, you log in and change the password. Would be about the 10th July I'd try if needed. :xl:
