Re: EV driving efficiency
About 4.5 miles per kWh is our average. Sometimes 5 but that's a quirk I think. Congrats Dan, you made the 500th post!

Re: British Gas/Ebico
Off grid - Stinsy - what would that entail please? Thanks. Your usage seems so low as to hardly justify the hassle/cost of being grid connected. What that entails depends on your current setup. I assume you already have solar/batteries that provide: all of your electricity and hot water for most of...

Re: Anyone know what's happened to elsewhere?
Don't know Blueplanet, trying not to breathe air into that particular corpse or tbh really care about it. There are plenty of other traders out there and a fair few folk on here that'll help you and look for no profit from it. I personally found ITS & Triple solar to be well priced & profess...

50W is an outstanding result! My average is 130W, pretty sure the Goodwe hybrid unit is most of that so nothing I can do about it.. The country could save GW's of power per week if everyone woke up to this. Need a new infomercial to appeal to self interest. 'Hey kids, u could earn an IPhone 15 by ju...

Re: For those with house projects
If its made of timber it's going up. I was over at a mates caravan a few weeks ago. Recently bought it and had put up a fence in the garden area. 3 of 8 mtr long by just over 1mtr high sides of thief's ladder style ranch fencing and a tiny deck for a small round table and 2 chairs. Nice job too. Ask...

Re: Fridge freezer
We had a similar experience when tracking down and lowering the background load on house. Those units are sneaky! I also added timers on the new units to shift demand into daylight hours. Thought being for Winter morning/days. It was very apparent when we had less battery storage and that Soc % plum...

How's your July?
Hey guys n gals, We had the most epic day here today. 35kWh on the main & 12kWh on the second array. Without a doubt the best day ever here at Casa De Pantsmachine (Who)? As we'd been away down South and SWMBO was catching up to her place of all being mint again we ran the washing machine 4 time...

Re: Nissan expanding in UK
Just business I suppose. Gotta have incentives, think back pre Brexit and Nissan were saying they'd pull out of uk if Brexit went ahead. I'm sure that was used as a lever by Nissan for this expansion.
