Re: Nowty Towers Vs UK Grid Storage
Had a back strain, not sure how, as I was just walking through the kitchen at the time. Cold pack, voltorol, paracetamol, and a little rest and I'm back in business but in slow motion, SWMBO is doing a sterling job helping out too. 3 down but the last ones always a fecker. :evil...

Re: Nowty Towers Vs UK Grid Storage
I was about to go out to get some 18mm thick plywood as a working board on the car port roof as my previous crawling boards were rotting through. Then I realised the pallet the panels came on was 18mm plywood with steel reinforcing strips, just what I needed. :xx: Last time I replaced the panels I u...

Re: Nowty Towers Vs UK Grid Storage
They were £75 each with the VAT but the free delivery is sweet. I think they manage to do this because they come from a local depot, so a relatively short distance. I don't actually know how they do it. My single panel was strapped to a long pallet. Very much.on.its own and the guys at the depot be...

Re: Nowty Towers Vs UK Grid Storage
Damn those cheap panels at City Plumbing with free delivery, I don't want any more honest. ;) But they could replace 4 on my front porch sitting on prime SSW facing real estate. Then those existing 4 could replace the non matching silver frame ones on my decking area which were originally on the fro...

Re: Nowty Towers Vs UK Grid Storage
A slight improvement on a couple of all time PB's yesterday (Saturday) at Nowty Towers. (nowtyPB) 1) PB of home solar PV generation of 78kWh (+1 kWh on last PB), quite surprised me as some cloud came over on a few occasions. 2) PB of 69kWh (+7 kWh on last PB) exported on Octopus Outgoing. ...

Re: EVs banned from Liverpool hospital parking
That does not explain why petrol cars are allowed to park when I thought statistically they are more likely to catch fire and they hold around 5 times more energy to burn.

EVs banned from Liverpool hospital parking
What the feck ? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c90zjne2v0jo A father who was taking his child to Alder Hey hospital in Liverpool says he was turned away from the car park because he was driving an electric vehicle (EV). Paul Freeman-Powell said he was told to park next to nearby grass be...
