Re: One bed semi detached bungalow for sale Aberdeenshire.

Totally inappropriate, where's the PV? That roof should be covered :o None there, but out here the ceremonial laying out of stuff has taken place. :D https://i.postimg.cc/YC3fVPYS/20240518-085024.jpg Hopefully the new owner will go for it. 1200+ views in 16hrs. Re: Small things matter

Re: Small things matter

T seal for panels along with MC4 triple connectors and my personal fave, no 4.2 x 40mm s/s self tapping hex head screws arrived today. They'll do nicely on the boot room build. Off adventuring to Turkey tomorrow. My backpack has an IQ7 250W micro inverter and a few mc4's in it. Oh aye and an IQ7 230...

Re: Balcony solar PV

Use these ......... but they are getting more pricey ........ Panel is 200w 33v OC. https://i.postimg.cc/McKqmccP/Capture.jpg Nice one, is the microinverter indoors. Is it cooled? Definitely an interested mind. If the next 3 panel string we are installing tips over (alarm/reboot) on the 150V 60A DC...

Re: Dealing with excess solar:

There is a related issue whereby with a lot of generation it can be better to charge the battery at half the rate for twice as long so you are not trying to export above your limit as soon as the battery is full. This is potentially an attractive thing to do as I don't think my DNO will agree to me...

Re: Idiot's guide to a self build battery

Thanks for that Al, I am interested to see how it all settles down as its not been in quite a week yet. I set a 12A draw on the batteries to EV last night at and it pulled the stack down to 12% soc by early this morning. It did recover a little but not as extreme as the 10% gain a few days ago. We'l...

Re: Small things matter

Locally sourced rough sawn Scots pine timbers are on standby in a separate wee bit. So guys, question. Cladding? Spruce Pine Larch... Which one for cladding & why, any input much appreciated. 🤔 👏 Does it need cladding? That will further reduce the light in the rooms behind it. Pretend it's like...
