Re: Outbuildings and why they're great. (Vanport)

Great progress Thank you AGT and best of fortune for the upcoming expansion at your home too. Final E connections made in vanport. Classic FM is on and over 550W coming off the last Hoymiles unit running the big single panel and small dual third hand Sharp panels. I am very happy with that. https:/...

Re: Outbuildings and why they're great. (Vanport)

Had an enormously satisfying rummage through my sparky bits spares boxes to augment the vanport E build out. Managed to find a lot of bits to use. We are now 1 of extra 2 gang point in garage and 2 of 2 gang points in vanport. We've also got an anglepoise work light and individual switchable 5 gang ...

Re: Insulating Timber Garage

Re: Where am I ?

I must have been on lesser travelled roads. In my short time there (5 days or so) it was cold, liquid & sweet. Sorry to hear about the pollution.

Re: Xlinks snub

I can understand concerns about cable damage, especially with all the Russian heavy trawlers 'accidentally' dragging their anchors repeatedly across cable routes, but I've never understood the concerns about a country's politics etc. These schemes are totally different to gas and oil pipelines, whe...

Not bad for second hand gear set up on an existing garage ..
Congratulations, that is brilliant news and a great result! A tremendous example of what can be done with relifed gear and a soupcon of knowhow. :xl:

Re: Xlinks snub

You don't put 25% of your countries power supply in the hands of another country. Sorry Morroco but you're not a stable enough platform. One of the best North African states though. You certainly don't rely on a multiple 000's K set of lines in relatively shallow water either. There's a lot can go ...
