Re: Outgoing Octopus

I have now been opted out of FIT deemed export payments and on Octopus Outgoing since late Nov 23 so I have a full 5 months worth of experience with it in the less sunny parts of the year so I thought I would give an update to how it’s going. :oO: If I was still on deemed exports, I would be getting...

Re: Accelerated grid connections for renewables

Up to now the Grid has taken the worst case scenario for the ability to transmit power ie at max ambient temp and no cooling wind, and at the same time taken the max electricity that can be transmitted/produced. On that basis the cable is rarely if ever transmiiting max practicaly speaking. For a f...

Re: Nowty Towers Vs UK Grid Storage

I have received a mystery parcel from Octopus. https://i.postimg.cc/B6hHCXrL/Octopus-Mystery-Parcel.jpg It explained why I recently had been awarded a bonus of 6400 Octopoints worth £8, so whatever I'm doing they seem to like my feedback. https://i.postimg.cc/KzjMqmr1/Octopus-Mystery-Parcel-v2...

Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?

Hi Nowty -as below... Capacity owned 2.858 kW Whitelaw Brae 0.200 kW Derril Water 0.875 kW Kirk Hill 1.784 kW Expected annual generation 7,000 kWh Whitelaw Brae 484 kWh Derril Water 857 kWh Kirk Hill 5,659 kWh So you are probably a fraction over the 7000kWh limit once you go to extra decimal places...

Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?

Be aware -Ripple are requesting consumption evidence even if not above consumption limit of 7000kwh . Apparently its in the small print if you buy into several offers -eg Kirk Hill and Solar and new windfarm. Appears unnegoitable despite not exceeding the 7000 limit. I cannot provide consumption ev...

Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?

April capacity factor graph for GF, not long now before I will also be doing the KH one.

Quite an epic month compared with baseline, over 50% more generation than expected, so compensates for the below par solar. :xx:

Update time, A few more members, plus other improvements within the membership of the secret list. The Ripple P4 (Whitelaw Brae) which is confirmed to be a wind farm has started with 10 members. :xx: And now with “associate members” to my secret list.
