Re: Smart meter regrets?

Thanks, I remember you being very helfpul with my past endeavours 8-) Which tariff are you currently opting for out of curiosity? I joined the two "saving session" but don't have the results yet - I know you can game it a bit but our use is generally low at present so I suspect the savings...

Re: Smart meter regrets?

Sure, I get that, the Octopus mini updates every 10 sec or so - but the 5 and 30 minute reporting it also collects on the bar graph the app displays subsequently adds up all those Wh which is where I've been keeping an eye - as I said, Tuesday should have been an "no import" day but it tot...

Smart meter regrets?

Hello folks, Sorry lurker from a couple of years ago and fell off the radar for various reasons :( My last project was a Solis RAI AC with US5000 pack - all was going swimmingly for the last couple of years, I was even considering a mild increase in capacity by adding a US2000 but was waiting for an...

Re: Pylontech US5000 drops charge rate after brief stints charging at high currents

I don’t have batteryview - I could do with looking into that to see if my hunch is right - the BMS doesn’t seem to report it to the Solis it seems The BMS does report it in its CAN messages to the inverter. I don't know if the inverter uses it for anything though. 0x356 bytes 4 and 5. Thanks, that’...

Re: Pylontech US5000 drops charge rate after brief stints charging at high currents

This is for the earlier Pylon batteries and will probably be the same as the more modern ones. https://i.postimg.cc/CzNh3bkt/pylon-temperature.jpg Check DOD for the US2000B. You can mix and match but personally I'd go for another US5000 when funds allow. I'm not familiar with the Solis but check th...

Pylontech US5000 drops charge rate after brief stints charging at high currents

Hello folks, So as the seasons change I have a new annoyance - my other thread on the Solis RAI was getting rather lengthy and this is unrelated in a way so here we go. The Solis and Pylon have been working great together over the last few months - surprisingly our leccy import halved over Dec and J...

Re: Solis RAI-3K 5G

Good news that's resolved :) The Solis has some weird logic - out of curiosity I didn't realise that the Techview app allowed full change of all settings - all I could see when I finally managed to get the password was some hardcore settings for stuff like volts and phase and grid settings rather th...

Re: Solis RAI-3K 5G

Also just sent you a PM (sorry missed this yesterday) - I think the ToU timings might be the issue and it's stuck in ToU rather than self-use - one option is to change to another 'mode' e.g. back up only and then revert back to self-use but change the ToU settings to all be 00.00 to absolutely ensur...

Re: Solis RAI-3K 5G

Have you tried a full power off and on? So AC off, then DC off, then power off the Pylons? Then reverse to restart? Next option is on the Solis, restart HMI seems to do a soft reboot - worth a try? My US5000 has not liked the cold at all (in the garage) - it has dropped the charge current to 5A and ...

Re: Solis RAI-3K 5G

Well I finally found the TechView passwords on the DIYSolarForum if anyone wants them:

advanced user: solis123456
installer: solis123

It gets a bit 'heavy' in there and not much in the way of 'user config' as such i.e. TechView is next to useless
