Re: Tyre screwed?

Well if it didn't work it'd just slowly leak as it possibly wouldn't have been fully sealed due to being close to where the curved shoulder of the tyre starts. No reason it'd be a catastrophic blowout or anything dramatic is there. They pressure tested it for an hour before I drove away and it was f...

Re: Tyre screwed?

I had this one repaired for free by Volvo on my Polestar. They said it was marginal but would give it a go if i wanted. I said hell yeah, and it's been fine for 7 months now.

Re: Panel mounting system for steel sheet roof?

2 of my arrays are on wiggly tin roofs, both cladco profiles. Both attached with mini rails, which have rubber bases which seal as they're screwed and compressed on, same way as the fixing screws do with their rubber washers. No leaks over the years and all solid, despite being screwed on one roof i...

Re: May Generation 2025

How is your system setup with regards to charging the batteries? Are you charging them overnight, or dumping to the grid so they're empty ready for the morning sun? Seems like you're clipping huge amounts of potential solar energy.

Re: Outbuildings and why they're great. (Vanport)

There are 2 slightly different DTU lite sticks, the first one I got from Amazon did the same. Had to send it back for a slightly different one that actually states compatible with HMS rather than just HM. Old- https://i.postimg.cc/vZ2r0rzH/image.png New- https://i.postimg.cc/vHzLVFxn/image.png

Re: Hoymiles problem, or grid voltage too high?

2 days now with no issues and shutdowns. Yesterday was cloudy/sunny spells with spikes on the grid voltage that I would've expected to have shut it down previously, so it seems to have done the trick. :D Will reply again if it trips out and it turns out not to have worked out.

Re: Octopus -Missing Export data for 13th May!

Messaged them on X this morning (seems to get a way quicker response than email) after the data still wasn't there. Reply on X within 20mins. Just checked and the data for export is now there for the 13th :P

Re: Hoymiles problem, or grid voltage too high?

The HMS I have doesn't have Wifi built in, so I've bought the DTU-Lite stick in order to take a look at the settings, couldn't resist! Didnt break the bank at less than £30 from Amazon. Set it up last night, via the mobile app. Had installer account set up for me by OffGridTech in Germany where I bo...

Re: Ripple energy "strike off"

Go onto the Ripple website, and go into payments, then download some of the wattage amount or arrangement fee docs. The reference/member number is on all of them.
