Re: ASAP / aircon?
Yes. I had a quote from a “proper” company & it was VAT free, that was for a full supply & install. It covered one outside unit and two inside split units & was bang on £4k. It was a year ago & I don’t think anything has changed in the meantime. I’m not sure how the VAT aspect is cov...

Re: ASAP / aircon?
Hi again, I’m a good chunk of the way through the 30 or so pages! So much experience distilled in here. It’s almost like the battery build all over again. From what I’ve digested so far I have the following comments & questions ….. I assume that having aircon/heating AND a conventional gas boile...

ASAP / aircon?
Hi all, I was wondering whether any members have installed air to air heat pumps, i.e aircon units and operate these in heating mode during the winter? I’m thinking about it. At the moment these don’t qualify for the uptp £7500 grant, BUT, the installs are VAT free. Our house is quite large old &...

Re: Negative bill?
This is all good stuff. Ive just had a look at mine and can report that my YTD import cost is £250 and export is £258! That includes charing the car. Looking at a day to day basis doesn't really work for me as I essentially charge the car at random as and when the fancy takes me, so I’m dead chuffed...

Re: Exporting vs discharging …
You say you have a CT measuring the house load, do you have any other CT's? If you used a CT on the supply (rather than house load) and set tha to a maximum of kW for export would that give you what you desire. I am asuming that the house load would be taken from the batteries along wth the export ...

Exporting vs discharging …
Hi all, So, I’m now starting to get the hang of this force discharged activity, but it’s struck me that actually, I’m setting my units into a force discharge mode rather than an exporting mode. It isn’t always the same thing due to House load detracting from the discharge to create the export - if y...

Re: Outgoing Octopus - question
Actually I think there are security implications to this data. I've just raised a complaint, I want to see where it goes in relation to GPDR as well. As an aside, it doesn't give the data for 10 downing street, but it does give the data for some parts of RAF Stafford. That’ll be due to there being ...

Re: Outgoing Octopus - question
You can find out anybodies billed consumption and supplier using this link below. IMV its outrageous and an absolute breaking of the GDPR rules morally and factually, but you can. I did a search a few weeks ago looking to change suppliers, basically to compate unit rates from each company, so went ...

Re: Solar Edge: site layout/mapper software
Thanks for that additional info Rob, I'm not familiar with the Whatsapp group for SE, what do I need to know? Ok, so its a wattsapp number 07360 261181 You start a dialogue with it & the first few parts are automated: It asks for a registered email address - use the one the monitoring system kn...
